US MIDDAY: wheat lower

Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade were lower early on Tuesday on seasonal harvest pressure, traders said. As of 10:30 am CDT (1530 GMT), July wheat was down 1-3/4 cents at $3.20-3/4 per bushel, with deferred months steady to down 1-1/4 cents. Citigroup sold 200 July contracts while Cargill Investor Services bought 300 July, traders said.
The hard red winter wheat harvest was expanding in the US Plains, with cutting under way in Texas, southern Oklahoma and southern Kansas, cash sources said.
