Telecommunications equipment supplier Adtran Inc on June 8 raised its second-quarter revenue estimate. Adtran Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mark Smith said in a news release that quarter-to-date bookings had been stronger than expected.
Huntsville, Alabama-based Adtran now expects to earn 24 cents to 25 cents a share, on revenue of $114 million to $116 million for the quarter.
According to a recorded first-quarter earnings conference call available on the company's website, Adtran had on April 19 forecast earnings of 20 cents to 22 cents a share, on revenue of $108 million to $112 million.
Analysts, on average, expect Adtran to earn 22 cents a share on revenue of $112.7 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
