'Use plenty of water to prevent heat'

Principal King Edward Medical College Professor Mumtaz Hassan has advised general public to take preventive measures to save themselves from current heat wave in city. Talking to APP here Sunday (June 5), the noted physician advised people to take maximum liquid including water and "salted Lassi" with food and must ensure that they had taken plenty of water before going in sun.
He said current heat-wave is equally harmful for elderly people, those suffering from hypertension, diabetes, kidney or liver disorder.
He said Allah has blessed people with various fruits during summer season specially the water-melon which he said, is a natural source of "Glucose" that prevents people from sun-stroke, he exhorted.
