Australian stars Michael Clarke and Michael Kasprowicz were the victims of thieves at the end of the tourists' 95-run win over Leicestershire on Saturday. Clarke was left without his five favourite bats after the case containing all his equipment was stolen sometime after the end of the one-day match in Leicester.
A bag belonging to fast bowler Kasprowicz, containing shirts for the upcoming one-day series against England and Bangladesh, which carry the players' names on the back, as well as distinctive yellow pads and training clothing, was also stolen.
Such items of player equipment have become popular collectors' items among cricket fans with a brisk, and often legitimate, trade being carried out on various internet sites.
