15 Jun, 2005

Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) managing-director Brigadier Tariq Mehmood Khan Saddozai inaugurated the 132kv double-circuit transmission line on Tuesday at Premier Battery in SITE area. The SITE was having continuous load shedding for the last many months and due to technical problem the KESC was unable to install new 132kv overhead transmission line with 2 huge transmission towers passing through the Premier Battery.
Premier Battery, SITE, had obtained a stay order from the Sindh High Court (SHC) against the KESC for carrying out any civil or electrical work for the installation of transmission towers.
Site Association of Industry (SAI) chairman Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, who is also member of the KESC board of director, strongly took up this matter with the board, who empowered him to negotiate with the Premier Battery to withdraw their stay order/case from the SHC. Dr Baig has successfully negotiated with the Premier Battery and finally they withdrew their suit no. 724/2003.
