Suspected insurgents fired two rockets on a remote paramilitary camp, and a bomb exploded in the unstable south-western Balochistan province, but no one was hurt, officials said on Sunday. Two rockets hit a paramilitary troops camp in Kharan town, some 300 kilometres west of Quetta late Saturday without causing damage, a paramilitary commander told AFP.
A bomb exploded near a shop, causing some property damage but no injuries, late Saturday at Jinnah town in Quetta city, said local police official Mohammad Nawaz.
No one had claimed responsibility for the blasts. However, nationalist tribesmen demanding more political rights, jobs and royalties from the province's natural resources have stepped up attacks on government installations since the start of the year.
