Pakistan's communication link with the international Internet network has been disrupted due to some fault in submarine fiber optic cable, a local private TV channel said on Monday evening. The disruption hampered Pakistan's Internet connection and voice mailing system with world-wide Internet and international telephone system.
The electric power shortage to the cable system may be the cause of disruption, it said. The submarine cable, which is coming from Singapore, connects Pakistan with world-wide Internet. Pakistan has asked Singapore to provide electric power to the cable system.
