29 Jun, 2005

US arabica coffee futures closed on positive ground Tuesday, bouncing back from early weakness on the heels of speculative short covering and strong gains in London's robusta market, traders said. The New York Board of Trade's bellwether September contract climbed 1.80 cents to settle at $1.0750 a lb., near the top of a daily trading range from $1.0450 to $1.0780.
Among other arabicas, front-month July coffee rose 1.60 cents on Tuesday to $1.0430 a lb.
