Chief Meteorologist, Anjum Bari Thursday expressed hope that inflow of water in Tarbela and Chasma would recede during the next two to three days. Speaking at a private TV channel, he said about 4 to 3 centigrade temperature had decreased in North Western and Northern areas which would hopefully decrease the in-flow of water at Tarbela and Chasma in the next 24 to 36 hours.
The drop in temperature due to recent rains would slow down the process of snow melting in mountain areas which would definitely cut down the inflow of water, he added.
To a question he said inflow of Water at Tarbela was about 0.363 million cusecs while 0.27 million cusecs water was being released from it. Presently inflow of water at Nowshera in Kabul river was 0.154 million cusecs which caused high flood in the area, he added.
He said high flood had also been witnessed at Munda and Warsak areas across Kabul river.
