Body formed to settle Sindh and Balochistan water sharing dispute

The federal government has appointed a three-member committee to sort out the issue of water share between Sindh and Balochistan, said Provincial Minister for Irrigation Maulvi Ataullah Lango here on Sunday. He told APP that committee comprises two senior engineers from Wapda and an Irsa representative which would inspect the Gadang feeder, hear representatives of both the provinces and then submit a report to the government.
Both the provincial governments are in constant touch with each other and are consulting to have an accord over water-sharing. The issue would be settled amicably, said the Balochistan irrigation minister.
Attaullah Lango also disclosed that for removing shortage of water and to avail full share of water project for remodelling and expansion of Keerthar and Pat Feeder Canal has been finalised, and would be implemented soon.
