The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed Azhar Hussain Shah, superintendent of the sessions court Attock. The Chief Justice has appointed Latif-ur-Rehman, OSD LHC, as the superintendent, session court Attock. Azhar Hussain Shah was proceeded against under the Punjab Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) rules on the charges of inefficiency, misconduct and corruption.
The District and Sessions Judge, Khushab, gave him an opportunity of personal hearing, but he failed to clear his position. The Chief Justice having found him guilty of charges levelled against him dismissed him from service with immediate effect.
