118 MNAs demanded accountability of nazims: Ejaz

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ejazul Haq has said that some 118 MNAs demanded of President Pervez Muhsarraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for accountability of corrupt nizims. Addressing a press conference along with MPA Ghulam Murtaza , Ejazul Haq said that the corrupt Nazims would not be allowed to contest the LG polls.
Replying a question, Ejazul Haq said that he was not blaming any one for corruption but the people know about corruption in developmental works in district governments. He hoped that honest people would get victory in the forthcoming LG polls.
He said that no decision had yet been taken about the nomination of District Nazim for Bhawalnagar, adding that senior officials' meeting was underway.
About hiking of petroleum produces prices, the Minister said that the petroleum products were increased because the prices increased at international level.
He said that the prices were increased despite providing of 160 billion rupee of subsidy.
Ghulam Murtaza MPA said that 5 to 6 water filter plants would be constructed in Haroonabad and Fort Abbas cities. He said that developmental works would continue there.
