The Sri Lanka rupee closed flat on Tuesday in quiet trade as the market waited for the outcome of this week's upcoming initial public offering by the island's No 1 mobile operator, dealers said. The rupee ended at 100.10 per dollar, unchanged from Monday's close.
Telekom Malaysia's local unit Dialog Telekom is due to launch an IPO on Thursday that is expected to raise around $80 million, around $35 million of which is expected to flow into the economy from foreign investors abroad.
Call money rates were around 9.0-9.25 percent.
