Exchange of visits in variety of fields especially media would help further promote existing model friendship between Pakistan and China. This was observed by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan in a meeting with 7-member Chinese media delegation from Xin Jiang province headed by Ms Hou Hanmin at Governor House here on Thursday.
Chinese Consul General Sun C Ye was also present on the occasion. Dr Ibad said ever growing multifaceted co-operation in economic, cultural, educational fields would greatly help to take strides towards development of the neighbourly countries.
He said media plays an important role in projecting the image of a country and world saw that 156 trade delegations participated in Textile Asia Expo in Karachi. He said that lot of business activities were taking place in the city besides cultural, educational and sports activities.
Dr Ibad stressed the need to increase the frequency of visits to strengthen people to people contact in educational, cultural and business fields and share their expertise in the fields.
The head of the visiting delegation said that during 4-day stay in the city, the delegation observed it to be a peaceful city and its residents active and vibrant to make their lives better and thus contributing to progress and prosperity of their country.
She elaborated that existing media related co-operation would enable the two peoples to know further about each other and extended an invitation to journalists from Sindh province to visit her province.
