The Hong Kong dollar held to a tight range against the greenback on Thursday, finding support from lingering speculation over a possible yuan revaluation, dealers said. The local currency hit a low of 7.7750 per US dollar earlier in the day before pulling back to 7.7738/42, slightly higher than 7.7743/47 in late Asian trading on Wednesday.
"There was some speculative flows amidst the G8 meeting," one trader.
