Prices move both ways on grain market

Apprehensions of low supplies in the coming days, pushed the cottonseed oilcake prices up on the grain market on Friday, dealers said. On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag managed to gain rupee five for buying and selling at Rs 430-450 on fears that the supply might not be enough to meet the market demand, they added.
Other items almost stay put in the process of trading, they added.
On the rice side, Irri-white low type shed Rs 20 to Rs 1030 and better type lost Rs 10 to Rs 1050. Balanced demand and supply helped the other types to maintain their overnight levels.
On the cereal side, wheat Mexipak old and new quoted at Rs 1135 and 1145, respectively. Masoor dal from India went up Rs 350 to Rs 3700-3800 in the process of trading, they added.
