The Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said this while chairing a high-level meeting here on Tuesday. Chairman Wapda, Tariq Hameed, also attended the meeting.

He pointed out that the farmers would get the benefit from Rs 20 to 90 thousand per annum. Under this scheme of cheap electricity, the timings for the use of electricity by the farmers have been set at 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
He said that cheap electricity meter would be installed on the submission of an application on a plain paper on the part of the farmers with a photocopy of a paid electricity bill attached to the application.
