Heavy rain in Lahore turns weather pleasant

Provincial metropolis was pounded with heavy rain in early hours of Tuesday, making the weather pleasant, while other parts of the country also received rain. According to a meteorological official more rain was expected in next 24 hours. He said 5 mm of rain was received in the city, which was preceded by gusty wind.
The maximum temperature recorded was 31.8 Celsius degrees while minimum temperature was 23.8 Celsius degrees.
Other parts of the country also received rain included Balakot 48 mm, Murree 44 mm, Malamjabba 39 mm, Faisalabad 34 mm, Islamabad 29 mm, Muzaffarabad 11 mm, Saidu Sharif 7 mm, Kakul 4 mm, Bannu 3 mm, Mandi Bahauddin 1 mm, and Chilas, Gilgit, Skardu and Sialkot trace.
The met office predicted more thunderstorm and rain at Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, DG Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan regions.
They said that the rain was caused by seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas. A low-pressure area lies over NWFP and Kashmir.
