An official spokesman in a statement issued here on Tuesday has asked the candidates participating in the forthcoming local bodies (LB) elections to refrain from trying to gain political mileage by displaying photographs and images of the President as part of their election campaign.
Responding to reports that some candidates in the forthcoming local bodies' elections were using photographs and images of the President, the spokesman said that that practice should be discontinued forthwith, as the office of the President was in no way associated with the election campaign of any candidate.
