Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro, National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain and Deputy Speaker Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob have expressed profound shock and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the tragic train accident that took place at Sarhad Railway Station in Ghotki on Wednesday.
In their separate messages, they expressed sympathies with the members of the bereaved families and prayed to Allah Almighty to shower His blessings on the deceased.
Soomro noted with satisfaction that the social welfare organisations had established relief camps and members of general public were also extending a helping hand to government machinery in the relief operations.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker assured that government would provide all facilities for the treatment of the injured and extend all possible support to the bereaved families.
SHUJAAT: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has expressed shock and grief over the tragic train accident near Ghotki.
He offered Fateha for the deceased and condoled with the bereaved families.
Sympathising with the injured, the PML president prayed for their early recovery.
He asked Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim to keep him informed of the relief operations.
He also directed the PML workers of Ghotki and nearby areas to reach the site of accident and extend all co-operation in the relief operations.
SHAIKH RASHID: Minister for information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told PTV the injured were being provided all possible medical assistance and added that Prime Minister had also directed all departments and concerned authorities to provide all help to the victims. "The whole nation is grieved on this unfortunate accident," he added.
RAO SIKANDAR: Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal, Minister of State Zahid Hamid, Federal Health Minister Mohammad Nasir Khan and Federal Sports Minister Malik Ajmal Khan expressing grief over the sad incident prayed for the early recovery of the wounded and eternal peace for the deceased.
PERVAIZ ELAHI: Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the collision of trains and added that he equally shared the grief with the heirs of victims.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of the bereaved families.
