$100 million World Bank loan signing ceremony postponed

A 24-hour delay in the arrival of legal documents from the World Bank's headquarters in Washington to its regional office in Islamabad has forced rescheduling of date of $100 million loan signing ceremony, sources said.
The signing of project between the bank and the government was scheduled on July 14 but has been postponed till 16th of this month.
When this scribe contacted the Bank regarding delay, spokesman said the signing ceremony of 'Second Punjab Education Development Policy Credit' project was postponed due to delay in the arrival of legal documents from the World Bank's headquarters in Washington to Islamabad.
He said both the sides would formally sign the loan agreement now on Saturday.
