DaMarcus Beasley scored in the 42nd and 83rd minutes here on Saturday to give the United States a 3-1 victory over Jamaica in a quarter-final match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup football tournament.
The victory lifted the event hosts into a Thursday semi-final against Honduras, an earlier 3-2 quarter-final winner here over Costa Rica.
Josh Wolff put the US squad ahead in the sixth minute and Beasley boosted the Americans to a 3-0 lead before Jamaica averted a shutout on Ricardo Fuller's goal in the 88th minute.
A crowd of 22,108 also saw two players ejected. American Ben Olsen was tossed in the 58th minute but the Jamaicans squandered the man advantage when Jermaine Taylor was ejected in the 66th minute.
The other quarter-finals will be played Sunday in Houston, Texas. Colombia will meet Mexico while Panama meets South Africa.
