President KCCI, Khalid Firoz on Wednesday said holding of International Housing Exhibition at Expo Center Karachi from July 29-31 will promote the cause of national construction industry and 70 associated allied industries.
This would not only generate new investment opportunities but also create new jobs, he said adding that under obtaining conditions at home, the holding of such exhibitions was also essential so as to build up the image of Pakistan at international level.
Speaking at a briefing here, Khalid Firoz appreciated Chief Controller of Buildings Brigadier A.S. Nasir (Retd) and said he has taken an important step by organising this exhibition of the construction industry as 70 downstream industries are linked with this sector.
He said bolstering of construction sector, will provide a boost to these downstream industries dealing in cement, iron, paints, wood and other industries which will have an opportunity of drawing more investment.
He observed that this exhibition is taking place at a time when government is also keen to see its promotion.
Khalid Firoz pointed out that construction industry in Pakistan is progressing and holding of exhibitions like this was essential for its fast development.
He described the participation of building material companies alongwith builders in the exhibition a welcome step and said it would help in the availability of modern and cheaper building material.
