Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) on Wednesday held a demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club to protest against the raids on religious institutions in the country. The participants were carrying placard bearing the slogans such as ' America-the International Terrorist,' Stop FBI activities in Pakistan, 'Dictatorship in the name of moderation is not accepted' etc.
They also chanted slogans against the government policies and police raids on Madrassahs.
Speaking on the occasion, IJT leaders Najam ul Sahar and Sohaib Nazir said that General Pervez Musharraf was acting as an 'American and British agent' while the government has become part of the international agenda of weakening the ideological boundaries of Pakistan.
