Pakistan Workers Confederation (PWC) has demanded of the government to announce a special relief package for working class, including people serving in private sector. According to a resolution passed in the meeting of PWC, held here at Labour Hall on Wednesday, the Confederation also demanded of the government to fix minimum wages of workers as Rs6000 per month.
PWC also urged the government to refrain from reducing the existing rate of gratuity of employees of government as well as semi-government organisations.
It also demanded to increase the wages of the skilled as well as semi-skilled workers keeping in view the increasing inflation.
The meeting was attended by a number of labour leaders, including Khurshid Ahmad, Gulzar Ahmad, Khushi Muhammad, Osama Tariq and Yousaf Baloch.
