Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were lower early on Wednesday on technical fund selling and on some rainfall in the Midwest crop region, traders said. Corn futures plunged nearly 5 percent on Tuesday on fund selling, and spillover pressure was evident during Wednesday's trading session, the traders said.
At 10:26 am CDT (1526 GMT), CBOT corn was down 4-1/2 to 10-1/2 cents per bushel. September was down 10 cents at $2.38-1/2 per bushel. New-crop December was down 11 at $2.48.
