The Swiss franc firmed against the dollar in early trade on Wednesday after hitting a 14-month low in the previous session on expectations that the Federal Reserve will paint a rosy picture of the US economy later on Wednesday.
The dollar changed hands at 1.2942/46 Swiss francs, compared with 1.3039/44 francs reached in late trading in Europe on Tuesday. Earlier on Tuesday the dollar hit a 14-month high against the franc of 1.3081 francs.
The euro was little changed, trading at 1.5642/56 francs compared with 1.5641/46 francs.
