The Hong Kong dollar and forward rates moved in a narrow range on Monday, while interbank rates tracked US bond yields higher after a strong US jobs report. The local currency was trading at 7.7727/30 per US dollar, little changed from 7.7723/29 in late Asian trade on Friday.
The discount on one-year Hong Kong dollar forwards narrowed marginally to 250/230 pips from Friday's close of 260/245 pips.
