Most commodity prices tend lower

Falling trend was witnessed on the grain market on Monday as most of the commodities tended lower on steady arrivals from upcountry centres, dealers said. On the cereals side, wheat Mexipak old and new both gave up overnight weakness, gaining Rs 10 at Rs 1110-1120 in the process of trading, dealers said.
Makai better type lost Rs 25 to Rs 975 while the low type maintained its level at Rs 850 in the process of trading.
Other commodity items did not show any change on the same side, they said.
With the beginning of new picking season, rates of cotton and cottonseeds items came down as the cottonseed oilcake with bag lost Rs 10 to Rs 400-415, dealers said.
