I am extremely glad to note that after a petite break due to some unstable law and order situation, the city has recuperated the same momentum that it used to have. Successful events like ITCN Asia help the government restore the investors' confidence in the country and in particular Karachi which is the Pakistan's Business and IT Hub.
I extend my heartiest greetings to the Federal Minister for Privatisation & Investment; Federal Minister for IT & Telecom and Ecommerce Gateway Pte. Ltd Singapore for successfully organising ITCN Asia for the fifth successive year.
As we are all aware, the Information Technology can serve the country as a crucial tool for achieving the economic and social prosperity in the shortest span of time and events like ITCN Asia definitely plays a very significant role in accomplishing such objectives.
The sector under the fabulous and sustainable policies of the existing government is prospering and the Provincial and Federal Governments are jointly functioning to have an integrated effort to produce impeccable results.
I am glad to say that alike all other provinces, Government of Sindh has also been striving hard to contribute as much as possible to the country's IT & Telecom sector.
A well-equipped department is already working for the promotion of IT in the province so as to link the government departments through modern technology. The government is presently concentrating on research for development of human resources and teaching centers are being established in varsities, with the co-operation of private sector.
ITCN Asia is again one such effort where the private sector is working very closely with the government to promote the use of Information Technology in the country and especially in Sindh.
I wish ITCN Asia all success!
