Arbab identifies government departments for unemployed youths

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has asked unemployed youths to apply for jobs in other government departments than Education Department, a spokesman of the Chief Minister House said on Wednesday.
He said that the chief minister identified excise and taxation, services and general administration, revenue, irrigation, communication and works and agriculture as potential departments, which can absorb young educated and technically trained people.
The spokesman said that the chief minister said he was unable to understand the psyche of the rural youth who only wanted to join the Education Department in the capacity of teachers.
He said that the chief minister has asked them to gain technical know-how and find suitable jobs in less competitive fields.
The chief minister has, however, made it clear that all jobs in the government departments would be on merit and proper educational qualifications.
The spokesman said that vacancies in government departments would be filled in after completion of the local bodies elections.
He said that the chief minister has assured Chair population of proper water supply schemes, health facilities and roads during the current fiscal year.
Earlier, during his visit to Umerkot the chief minister advised doctors to serve the people with dedication and provide them with good health care services.
The chief minister assured the people of Umerkot of better roads, education and health facilities after completion of the local bodies elections. The chief minister said that soon there would be survey of land in Umerkot and the people would be given ownership rights of their land and other immovable properties.
