Six armed persons gunned down five members of a family over abduction of a girl in a nearby village here on Monday. According to details, six armed persons Zafar Iqbal, Bashir Ahmad, Amjad and Sheru S/o Manzoor, Iftikhar and Arshad stormed into the house of Muhammad Ashraf on Monday morning in village Muzaffarpur in the jurisdiction of Ugoki police station.
The accused gunned down Muhammad Ashraf and later opened fire at close relative of the deceased including Naziran Bibi, Ghulam Murtaza son of deceased Ashraf Sarfraz S/o Bahadur Ali (30) and Muhammad Sharif.
The injured Muhammad Rafique (60) now in a local hospital told media men that he was resident of village Muzaffarpur of Sialkot and seven months ago his married son Ghulam Abbas had developed illicit relations with a girl Sabadbo Bashir Ahmad and a few months back, allegedly kidnapped the girl and took her to some unknown place.
He further stated that he and his family left the village and shifted to a rented house in Rehmatpura in tehsil Daska to avoid clash with the father and brothers of the abducted girl.
He further said that on Monday morning at about 4.00 am all the six accused allegedly entered his house in Rehmatpura Daska and opened indiscriminate fire.
As a result he himself, his wife Naziran Bibi, Sarfraz S/o Bahadur Ali (brother-in-law of his son Ghulam Abbas) sustained severe injuries. The accused than loaded all the injured persons, except Muhammad Ashraf s/o Sardar in a vehicle and took them to the house of Muhammad Ashraf s/o Sharif and then again opened fire at all the four injured, killing Naziran Bibi, Ghulam Murtara and Sarfraz on the spot and escaped from the scene.
The elderly Muhammad Rafique survived and was shifted to a local hospital. Besides, Muhammad Sharif s/o Sardar earlier shot and injured by accused also expired in Daska hospital.
Daska City Police have registered the cases, however, no arrest has yet been made.
