Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 83,602 tonnes for August 1-10, comprising 77,180 tonnes of wheat and 6,422 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Tuesday.
That compared with total grain exports of 522,000 tonnes in the whole of August last year, comprising 488,000 tonnes of wheat and 34,000 of barley.
Officials said two vessels were in port on Tuesday, loading 28,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria and 44,000 tonnes of barley for Saudi Arabia.
Another two vessels were expected shortly to load an additional 24,000 tonnes of wheat and 40,000 tonnes of barley for unspecified destinations.
