Sudanese judges visit Federal Shariah Court

Four senior judicial officers of Sudan were among a large number of their Pakistani counterparts that visited the Federal Shariah Court here on Friday and attended a briefing by Chief Justice Ijaz Yousof on his institution's working.
The Sudanese judicial officers are attending a course at the Shariah Academy of the International Islamic University here. The group also attended a hearing by the vacation bench, headed by the Chief Justice and Justice Allama Fida Muhammad Khan and later heard the judges explain to them the scope of the Court, modes of examination of laws, history of Islamisation of laws, its coincidence with the same process in Sudan.
The judges also spoke on the drawbacks in the implementation of Hudood laws and also received copies of the annual report of the Federal Shariah Court.
