US arabica coffee futures edged up Friday, boosted by light speculative buying and contract switching on the heels of a recovering robusta market in London, traders said. The New York Board of Trade's benchmark December arabica rose 0.7 percent, or 0.70 cent to settle at $1.0050 a lb., after trading from $0.9975 to $1.0180.
Back month arabicas finished up 0.25 to 0.60 cent, while the front-month September arabica added 0.80 cent to end at $0.9610 a lb.
