The Karachi Port handled 50,919 tonnes of cargo including 35,689 tonnes import and 15,230 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. Four ships expected to sail on Saturday, while six vessels are expected to sail on Sunday. Three ships due to arrive on Saturday, while ten vessels are due to arrive on Sunday.
The cargo comprised of 1,200 tonnes edible oil; 3,020 tonnes chemicals; 1,687 tonnes rice and 25,313 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Amasis, MT Anette Kosan and Gemini sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship MV Precious is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of two vessels viz Sutra Lima and Saudi Diryah are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely MT Sinar Sabang, Sutra Lima and CV Saudi Diryah are due to take berths on Saturday, while CV Lissy Schulte is also due to take berth at night hours on the same day.
Three vessels viz NT Keefan, Jain She-33 and Condore with edible oil, diesel oil and coal due to arrive on Saturday, while two more ships namely MV Socotra and Camilla Rickmers with containers are due to arrive on Sunday.
