National Reconstruction Bureau Chairman Daniyal Aziz has said that like first phase of local government elections, the people will show same enthusiasm in the second phase also.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said people by fully participating in the first phase of LB polls have expressed their confidence in the leadership of President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
"Results of first phase show that people are considering this system an only way of resolving their problems," Daniyal Aziz said.
The NRB chief said that due to effectiveness of local government system the people are fully supporting it. He said people have rejected the politics of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal in the local bodies' polls and cast vote against them.
Daniyal Aziz said in the elections people have rejected those elements who were using the name of religion for getting votes. "In spite of illegal use of provincial government resources, the MMA failed to get majority even in NWFP."
