US arabica coffee futures slid more than 2 percent Wednesday, with speculative and fund selling amid weak technical signals erasing the previous session's gains, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's most-active arabica for December delivery fell 2.75 cents, or 2.7 percent, to settle at $1 a lb., after trading from $0.9875 to $1.0350.
Among other arabica futures, March lost 2.65 cents to end at $1.0380 a lb., and deferred deliveries shed 2.30 to 2.60 cents.
Estimated futures trading volume receded to 11,928 contracts from the previous session's official tally of 12,227 lots.
