Five officials booked for corruption

Anti-Corruption police Kasur have booked five officials of various departments on charges of taking illegal gratification. Anti-corruption Circle Officer Muhammad Azam said here on Monday that a case has been registered against Planning Office Dr Zameer ul Hassan Jafferi and Building Inspector Muhammad Anwar for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 25,000 from a former councillor town committee Kasur Sheikh Habib Ahmed.
Similarly, a case has been registered against two Patwari - Iftikhar and Rafi Nasir for allegedly taking illegal gratification of Rs 2,700 from Muhammad Saddiq.
The anti corruption police also registered a case against assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Mukhtar Ahmed of Phoolnagar for taking bribe of Rs 10,000 allegedly from Zulfiqar. The anti corruption police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused persons.
