Four arrested MDA officials shifted to Muzaffarabad

All the arrested four accused including two in-service and two former officers of Mirpur Development Authority (MDA), were shifted to Muzaffarabad for further investigations by the AJK Accountability Bureau (AB), official sources said.
Police is after another official of Mirpur Development Authority who is stated to be still at large. The absconding official is also wanted by the AJK Ehtesab Bureau in a case of alleged fake allotment of a plot by the MDA.
Under the arrest warrants issued by Azad Jammu Kashmir Accountability Bureau, Police have so far nabbed four officials of Mirpur Development Authority including two ex-Town Planners, a sitting town planner and an overseer for misuse of powers by allegedly indulging in corruption, malpractice and irregularities.
Those so far arrested included two former Town Planners - Khalid Masood Chaudhry and Khawaja Ejaz Ahmed, sitting Assistant Town Planner Chaudhry Muhammad Akram and Overseer Sheikh Arif Zafar under the warrants issued by AJK Ehtesab Bureau, for their alleged involvement in corruption, malpractice and irregularities during official duties.
