Piaf-Founders alliance starts LCCI poll campaign

The Piaf-Founders Alliance kicked off its campaign for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) polls by announcing the names of candidates and inaugurating main election office on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chairman Steering Committee of the Alliance and LCCI's former President, Mian Mohammad Ashraf, claimed that they had nominated highly educated businessmen as the Alliance candidates.
While introducing the candidates, Ashraf said that for Chamber Class Mian Mohammad Usman, Murad Ashraf, Wasal Mannoo and Yaqub Tahir Izhar and for the Associate Class Shafqat Saeed Paracha, Mian Ahmad Fazal, Mian Abuzar Shad and Khamis Saeed Butt would contest the forthcoming LCCI polls. Keeping in view the Alliance popularity among the businessmen, a committee has been formed to extend the tenure of the Alliance, he added.
The LCCI President, Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman speaking on the occasion said with sincere efforts of the Piaf-Founders Alliance, the LCCI's dignity has increased manifold in the government circles.
Now the government departments pay heed to LCCI complaints more attentively. After the LCCI elections, the new team would work more diligently for the cause of businessmen, he added.
The Piaf Chairman, Mohammad Ali Mian, while addressing the gathering said that Alliance enjoys 90 percent seats in the LCCI and its graph would go up after the forthcoming elections.
He said the LCCI, by holding First Achievement Awards, which was highly appreciated by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, did a marvellous job which would be remembered for a long time to come.
Former LCCI and FPCCI President Iftikhar Ali Malik said that the Alliance would continue to serve the business community in the same manner as it did during the whole year. He hoped the Alliance would further strengthen with every passing day. Chairman Founders and former LCCI President Mian Tajamal Hussain also spoke on the occasion.
