South Asia Mobiles Summit from September 8

The leading mobile phone company of Pakistan, Ufone has sponsored 2nd Annual South Asia Mobiles 2005 Summit to be held in Islamabad from September 8 to 9, 2005. Federal Minister for IT Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari is likely to inaugurate the summit.
The event has received endorsement and support from international telecom bodies such as South Asian GSM Forum, Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), UMTS and Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (Amic).
The Ufone Chief Executive Babar Khan will present a case study on "Pakistani Operator, Ufone in Pakistan." Ufone, a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) established in Pakistan in 2001, has aggressively increased its share with the last one year showing 300 per cent increase in subscribers crossing three million mark.
Ufone provides state of the art technology - GPRS, WAP & MMS services along with having GPRS over International Roaming.
The forum will be addressed by leading industry operators of South Asia including Reliance Telecom Business Head Bhaskar Guha, MTN Networks CEO Hans Wijayasuriya, Banglalink Director Marketing Omer Rashid, Roamware Inc Abraham Punnoose, Bluefish Technologies Alex Chung, and NMS Communications Critz Chan.
Ufone Vice President Commercial Mubashir Naqvi will address the summit on "Strengthening brand through value added services" with specific review of Asian Region & Pakistan.
