Relative of elected Nazim shot dead

Abdul Rauf, a participant of thanks giving procession and closed relative of elected Nazim Abdul Sattar Ansari was shot dead by rival group in Hajveeri Town, here on late Monday.
According to details, a thanks giving procession was going on in Street No 5, Hajveeri Town led by elected Nazim Abdul Sattar Ansari of Union Council No 212. Suddenly, some armed persons appear there and tried to kidnap Abdul Rauf. Over the resistance, the armed persons stated indiscriminate firing and injured Abdul Rauf. He was removed to Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his bullet injuries. Police have registered a case and investigation is in progress.
Meanwhile, Sammundri Sadar Police have arrested Ejaz Ahmad alias Judgee defeated candidate and his eight accomplices Nabil, Nadeem, Mazhar Javed and Mohammad Yousaf etc, who had looted a ladies polling station in Union Council 128 just after the conclusion of counting of votes at gun point in a village 171-GB.
Police have registered a case on the report of Smera Yasmin, Presiding Officer of Ladies Polling station against the accused and recovered the bags of votes including guns etc from the possession of accused persons.
In another case, Nishatabad police have arrested four persons Saif-ur-Rehman, Ashraf, Nasir Ahmad Gill and Azhar Hussan, who were involved in firing case which was occurred in a nearby village 100-JB. Police have also recovered guns from their possession.
