'Reap played significant role in increasing rice export'

Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap) has become the second largest trade body in the country and has played crucial role in increasing rice export with tremendous efforts of its members.
This was stated by the former Reap chairman and chairman South Zone Group Abdul Rahim Janoo while addressing a members meeting at the residence of Chairman Jodia Bazar Grocers Association Jaffar Kudia here on Tuesday night.
He said that a comprehensive study has been done to increase rice export and the recommendations would be sent to the government for consideration.
Janoo said that he has discussed with the authorities the issue of provision of plots to rice exporters in more industrial areas including Gwadar.
Informing on his visit to Quetta, Janoo said that he met all the Reap members there and expressed hope that majority of them would cast their vote in favour of South Zone Group.
Former MNA and renowned leader of Memon community Abdul Aziz Memon, Jaffar Kudia, Yahya Polani, Chaudhry Khan Muhammad, Husain Khandwala and the candidates of South Zone Group for five seats of Reap managing committee Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Amjad, Rafique Suleman, Haji Abdul Majeed and Wajid Mumtaz Paracha also spoke on the occasion.
They appealed to the association members to cast their vote in favour of the candidates of South Zone Group on September 3, so that they continue to serve them and the rice trade.
