Chief Minister Punjab has decided to expand the structure of Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) and its offices at regional level. Furthermore, Chief Minister Inspection Team has completed investigation against more than 300 corrupt officers & officials of various departments and a comprehensive report has been submitted to the Punjab Chief Minister for further action.
This was disclosed in a high level departmental meeting, which was presided over by Provincial Minister for Chief Minister Inspection Team Colonel Shuja Khanzada (Retd).
CMIT Chairman Muhammad Arslan Khan, Secretary and members also attended the meeting. The Minister directed the members to dispose off all pending cases so that strict action might be taken against the corrupt elements. He said the Chief Minister had given a free hand to Chief Minister Inspection Team for taking action against the corrupt officials.
Shuja Khanzada also disclosed that a summary had been sent to the Chief Minister for appointment of five new members to speed up the pace of work.
The Minister informed that a computer lab had been set up and all development projects were being monitored and a report in this regard would be submitted to the C M.
The minister also directed the members to check the material being used in the construction of various schemes.
