Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 58,494 tonnes of cargo including 43,180 tonnes import and 15,314 tonnes export cargo including 3,858 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 58,494 tonnes dry cargo including 47,391 tonnes general cargo 824 tonnes cement; 5,287 tonnes sugar; 400 tonnes scrap and 4,592 tonnes fertiliser.
Seven ships namely Thor Captain, Apl Cairo, Hyundai Future, Bunga Terasek, MT Swat, Durban Queen and Song Shi Hai sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Hyundai Future, YM Star, Kota Teraju and Kuo Hung are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Arihant, YM Star and Eibe Oldendorff expected to sail on Thursday, while three vessels viz Golden Express, Kuo Hung and Kang Fu are expected to sail on Friday.
Two ships namely Golden Express and Corinthiakos due to arrive on Thursday, while seven vessels viz Iran Jahanara, Sagamore, Manila Bay, Wan Hai-262, Ponl Mahe, Great Chance and Irika are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 18,313 tonnes furnace oil; 4,718 tonnes chemicals; 6,671 tonnes seeds; 4,453 tonnes sugar and 34,442 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely MT Maple Galaxy, Yanaseni and CV Sealand Voyager sailed out to sea during the report period, while another two ships namely CV CMA Nilgai and MT Pioneer Sprit are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of four vessels viz Entalina, Jain She-31, Al-Manakh and MV Hyderabad are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Al Manakh and MT Entalina due to take berths on Thursday.
Container vessel MSC Rosa-M due to arrive on Thursday, while two more ships namely CV Norasia Everest and Bay Bridge are due to arrive on Friday.
