Suspected killers of Javed Imtiazi arrested

Police have arrested two accused involved in the murder of senior journalist Syed Muhammad Javed Imtiazi. SSP Operations Aamir Zulfiqar Khan said this while addressing a press conference at Police Lines here on Friday.
He said on August 29, the police received information that some bad smell was emitting from a house at Hameed Ali Park in Samanabad. When police reached there and with the help of people entered the house, they saw the body of Syed Javed Imtiazi in pool of blood.
The SSP entrusted the task of tracing out culprits involved in the case to SP Sadar, who constituted a special team which arrested a man namely, Naeem Ahmad from 41 Chak Khudian. The accused often visited the journalist.
The police arrested the second accused Ahmad Raza on the pointation of Naeem from 41 Chak Khudian district Kasur.
It is stated that when the journalist came back after leaving his wife in Abbottabad, the accused entered his house, and killed him brutally. They fled away after looting cash worth Rs 10,000 and a camera, which the police have recovered.
