Nadra to issue cellphone pin code for scratch cards

The National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra) will facilitate citizens in obtaining pin code for scratch cards of pre-paid mobile phones through bill payment machines in Karachi, an authority press release said on Friday.
Cellphone consumers of two cellular companies will now be able to use Nadra "Bill Machines" for payment of their cellphone bills, it said. An agreement has been signed between Nadra and Pakcom (Instaphone) and Paktel.
This service will remain available to the consumers round the clock without any hindrance and restriction, the press release added. Nadra"Bill Machines" under a phased-programme are being installed all over Pakistan. Five hundred such machines will be installed in major urban centers within a year. In the first phase the machines will be installed at National Swift Registration Centers (NSRCs) and subsequently at customer care centers of the utility companies.
A common man can use this system by registering himself at any NSRC and he can also nominate other persons for the payment of his utility bills.
