As many as nine division benches and 20 single benches will work at principal seat of the Lahore High Court (LHC) during the week commencing from Monday (September 05).
According to a notification, division benches are headed by Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad, Justice Syed Jamshed Ali, Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, Justice Nasim Sikandar, Justice Muhammad Sayeed Akhtar, Justice Mian Hamid Farooq, Justice Shaikh Abdul Rashid, Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam and Justice Muhammad Muzammal Khan.
The single benches are comprised of Chief Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry, Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed, Justice Syed Jamshed Ali, Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, Justice Syed Zahid Hussain, Justice Main Muhammad Najam-uz-Zaman, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Ali Nawaz Chohan, Justice Nasim Sikandar, Justice Jawad S Khawaja, Justice Muhammad Sayeed Akhtar, Justice Sair Ali, Justice Mian Hamid Farooq, Justice Muhammad Khalid Alvi, Justice Rustam Ali Malik, Justice Shaikh Abdul Rashid, Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, Justice Muhammad Bilal Khan, Justice Muhammad Muzammal Khan, Justice Muhammad Jahangir Arshad, Justice Syed Shabbar Raza Rizvi, Justice Syed Hamid Ali Shah and Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
JUDGES TRANSFERRED The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) has transferred two additional district and sessions judges (AD&SJ) in the public interest.
According to a notification, AD&SJ Chaudhry Humayun Imtiaz has been transferred from Lahore to Bahawalpur, while Jamshed Hussain has been transferred from Gujrat to Lahore.
Moreover, the Chief Justice also promoted AD&SJ Depalpur Muhammad Khalid Shabbir and placed his services at the disposal of Government of the Punjab for his posting as special judge anti-corruption Rawalpindi. The Chief Justice also promoted AD&SJ Jaranwala Muhammad Din Basra and posted him as officer on special duty (OSD) at LHC.
The Chief Justice also transferred civil judge Gujjar Khan and posted him as OSD at the LHC.
