Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) Secretary General and leader of the opposition in National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman has asked that world powers to play their due role for global peace.
According to information received here on Sunday, he said this while addressing a big gathering of annual turban-wearing ceremony of Jamia Islamia Zahidan in Eidgah ground of the city. Some 100,000 people attended the ceremony.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the power was a poison for the world peace. He asked the world powers to shun the policy of eliminating the smaller nations from the face of the earth and end genocide of humanity.
He said that Islam was a global religious, which invited people to peace and brotherhood.
He asked that big powers to initiate a dialogue process to sort out the differences, so that the humanity could be saved from a total catastrophe. He said that world powers were involved in attacking and occupying Muslim countries on one hand and accusing Muslims of so-called terrorism on the other.
The MMA leader accused the world power of blatantly violating international laws as well as all norms of civility. He said that their hands were painted in the blood of innocent people. He said that world powers were also involved in killing of justice.
He said that today only Ulema were the true peace-lovers on the face of earth and they were waging a war to save the whole civilisation and humanity. He congratulated the newly elected president of Iran and said that he had come to Iran with a message of good wishes for Iranian people from their Pakistani brethren.
He stressed that both countries should take care of the interests of each other. He urged all Muslim countries to play their due rule to guide the Ummah. He also alleged that rulers of Muslim world were presently playing the role of a salve.
Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman was given a warm welcome when he arrived in the Eidgah ground to attend the ceremony.
